Dixie is the youngest Diamond girl. She and her sisters – dreamy Martine, glamorous Rochelle and tough Jude – could hardly be more different, but their mum has always tried to teach them the value of sticking together. Now Mum’s expecting yet another baby, and she’s convinced this one’s a boy.

A fiction book about four girls whose Mum gives birth to a baby and they move to Planet Estate. They are not very happy about moving away from their old flat but are excited to have a new baby, Dixie , who is the youngest diamond girl , finds a shocking fact about the baby and has to keep it a secret from her sisters whilst trying to make her family act like a proper family.
I really liked it. Based on real life
It was so sad how the mum wanted a boy but when she got another girl she tried to change its gender. I loved Mary and Dixies friendship but felt sorry for Marys cruel mother. I also would love to have Jude as an older sister
I really enjoyed this book only 1 little problem which was that it was not really for 8 year olds more for 9 year olds.
Boring
I like Dixie because she is very helpful to her mum
I love reading about the life of the four Diamond Girls it is so good and they all seem so nice even though they have completely different styles.
This was a very interesting book. It was about how sisters can come together even when they fight and that their bond is inseparable. My favourite character was Jude because she stuck up for Dixie. Makes me want a sister!
Yes it was bril
I like Rochelle best because she's such a drama queen like me .
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ!!
This story is about a family who moved houses but wasn't how they expected it . The mum had a baby girl but told everyone that she was going to have a baby boy not a baby girl and that they were all dimond girls .
This story is about a family who move house.Their new house was not very nice. there mum has a baby girln but pretents itss a boy
I thought it was very nice
One of my favourite Jaqueline Wilson books. A heart wrenching story with surprising twists and turns. Expect the unexpected with this story!
Fabulous. One of the best books I have ever read
This book us ok although its briliant for people who enjoy Jacqeline Wilson
My best person is Dixie
It was not factual because I like fiction books
Yes i would recommed it to someone else
There is a girl called Dixie who moves houses but ends up living in a bad house from what they were expecting. This book was ficiton and I liked Dixie the best. I would reccomend it to someone else.
The girls were so surprised when they found out the truth!
Loved it
I thought that they were a unique and unusual family
I like dixie best
Because it showed how family can be different.
The diamond girls is a great book about a poor family who have to move away and with a mother with a massive lie only one daughter can be trusted with the secret.
I would recommend it to my sister.
My fave person was Dixie with her blue bird.
I liked the bit when Dixie risked her own life to save her friend Mary.
It was a fiction book an and my favourite character was the main one! It was really very nice, though I didn’t like the bit about Mary’s mum.
This is the best book for drama, it is so dramatic and amazing. I liked the character Dixie because she's very imaginative. I would recommend this to anyone over the age of 9.
Very good
I liked the girl called Dixie the best . I think I reallly like this book it has grown up words and I thought the part were Dixie discovered Mary's garden was nice as they made friends very quickly.
Amazing
:)
More about grown ups
I really enjoyed this book but it had fighting and swear words in it an that it why I put it in 4. My favourite character was probably Dixie because she seems to be a very unselfish and king girl that everyone likes.
