When Ted and Kat watched their cousin Salim get on board the London Eye, he turned and waved before getting on. But after half an hour it landed and everyone trooped off – and no Salim. Where could he have gone? And how on earth could he have disappeared into thin air?

I like how the main character has autism and he solves the case. I would recommend to Year 4 or above.
The Best Book
Excellent story, told by Ted who has a “syndrome” and whose brain is “wired differently”. Fascinating to read how he sees things and manages to work out what has happened to his cousin.
Would definitely recommend others read this book; couldn’t put it down!!
This is the best mystery book i have read! It fills you with suspense throughout. It has great red herrings and emotion, and i think anyone will love this book.
I definetly recommend this book.
This was amazing. It was really gripping from the opening chapter
A really good book and would definitely recommend it. A great story if someone likes mystery books.
This was an amazing book full of lots of twists and turns. Aunt Gloria and Salim go and visit some family in London on the way to New York. Who knew that Salim wouldn't come out of the pod on the London Eye. However there was an unusual character called ted who figured out why Salim did not come down. He uses his different mind to figure it out with the help of a few lies and of course Kat.
I would highly recommend this book to any confident readers out there who love a mystery.

A little bit scary but fun to read
Great and enticing book and full of surprises and mystery and I personally love it!
Perfect
Written from the point of view of 12 year old Ted I loved his explanations as to how his Asperger syndrome brain works differently, running in its own unique operating system. Although not actually labelled as such in the book as Asperger’s syndrome it appears that this is what Ted has been diagnosed with. Characters within the book call it his ‘syndrome’ whilst Ted himself explains that his syndrome causes his brain to operate in a different way from other peoples. Ted is clearly very intelligent and although often very single minded he understands that he can see things differently and offer a different perspective to others.
Cleverly written with clearly a great deal of research into Asperger’s and how young people deal with not only the challenges it brings but also the positives of being able to look at things differently.
It’s a simple plot and works beautifully, the characters are authentic and feel real, especially Ted and his sister Kat. Teds voice shines throughout the book as he uses his differences to view and see things differently from those around him.
My favorite book
A great mystery story - with superb character voice throughout. This fast paced page turner keeps you on your toes to see if you can solve the mystery before the ending.
Nice book
This book was mysterious, and was worrying at points. The story was gripping and I read it quickly to find out what happened next.
My favourite character was Ted, the main character. Because he was clever
I recommend this to people who like to solve mysteries
Great fun and such an enjoyable book which really helped to see the point of view of a neurodiverse person.
I loved this book full of twists
I love this book because it's happeningin London and also my favourite place in London is The London Eye. And I love disappearances in books
I liked the book because I love mysteries.
This was a fantastic book! It was a very gripping read and I struggled to put it down. The action starts on the first page and doesn't stop until the end. It is told from the point of view of a neurodivergent boy and gives great insight into how having a different way of looking at things can be a huge asset. The book explores family relationships, especially in times of stress. But mainly, it is a great mystery story with lots of twists and turns. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good mystery.
I really enjoyed this book, read in one afternoon.
I enjoyed the way that the author suggested that Ted has a special need but it is never said directly. The story line was intriguing and I wanted to read on.
A good read for anyone in Year 4 to 6.
It is a fiction book that involves a mix of mystery and drama. Its about a kids cousin going missing after the London Eye ride. Recommended for people who like mystery/thriller books
