The perfect gift for all ages, Pinocchio as you’ve never seen him before: telling his own story through the master storyteller and award-winning author of WAR HORSE.
“Now – there’s no point in pretending here – I was, and still am deep down, a puppet. Everyone knows Pinocchio is a puppet. I reckon I must be just about the most famous puppet the world has ever known. But the truth is I’m not just a puppet, I’m more than just bits of wood and string. I’m me. So I thought it was about time that I, Pinocchio, told you my story…” So begins this stunningly beautiful interpretation of the classic story. Michael Morpurgo channels Pinocchio’s words to tell the famous puppet’s story in his own inimitable, cheeky and always funny way. Lavishly illustrated throughout in full colour by the acclaimed Emma Chichester Clark, this is a must-have gift for all book lovers, and an utterly charming and surprising adaptation of a much-loved tale. It took me away to a great adventure. Pinocchio is very cheeky, I loved him because he always find a way out. The lesson of the book is to do what parents tell you to do...
Beautiful drawing with twisted story. What a silly pinocchio
After running away from a woodcutter, Pinocchio discovers a very big adventure!
It is very funny!
I quite liked this book and would recommend it.
Interesting read
I liked it most when Pinocchio went back to his daddy
I liked Pinocchio the best.

I would recommend it to people who like fairytales
Yes because It shows you not to lie to people or your nose might grow to like pinocchio
Great book.
Great Book.
This book is so good. It was about Pinnochio. Pinocchio was a wood piece then a carpenter came and made the piece a doll but the doll can speak and move by itself. And it is all about his adentures. I would recommend this to everyone who I know.
Pinocchio
I like Geppetto because he loved Pinocchio as his real son. I would recommend this book to children to teach them not to lie and take care of the loved ones.
I like how everyone laughs at Pinocchio but he is capable of a lot of stuff I was predicting that he was going to prove everybody wrong.
I think I give this book 8/10 because Pinocchio goes through lot's of adventures. My favourite part of the story was when Pinocchio met a magic fairy and turned out to be her sister. I think that Pinocchio would have been better if he kept promises because in the story Pinocchio broke lot's of promises.
I really like how Pinocchio is in the book and he goes on a journey
I liked the character Pinocchio.I liked the idea that it was in the forest and he saw the blind cat and the lame fox.
because it's funny and a good book for little children
This book is an old story.
People are mean to Pinocchio because he is made out of wood. But Pinocchio doesn't know why?
He finds out that he is special.
If you like magical books, then you will like this book.
A classic story about telling the truth and being kind and listening
Good book
it was a really good book and it taught me not to trust strangers
I saw a play at the theatre so have been reading books on pinochio
I learnt that you shouldn't trust the strangers. Because they might be someone who is trying to trick you.
I didn't like this version of Pinnocchio because it was scary.
A little hard to read, not for Y2, but the story is wonderful.
I thought it was a very adventurous story.
My thought on the book is that it is quite a desperate story.
I liked Pinocchio best.
Would recommend it to people who like adventures.
It was very big I really liked thank you
I like dear sister and lampwick I think it's very thought-provoking
