really good
This book was a brilliant read, full of fantastical ideas- I wish I could find my own Psammead to wish with. I loved it when the four children zoomed around Britain on huge wings and my favourite character was absolutely cute little Maudie!
I thought this book was excellent and I really liked how elaborate it was, connecting different parts of the book together.
I really liked this book. My favourite bit was when they went into the past and met Anthea and Jane and Cyril and the Lamb and Robert. I would love to find a Psammead. I think that i would also wish for wings and to fly.
This book was lovely . Rosalind is my favourite charachter as she shares my love of books
My favourite person in the story is Rosalind because she is very kind and adventurous. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys reading about travelling in time.
The only part i liked it was when It ''killed'' the second main character
Loved it!
For me, my favourite character was called Rosilind and I found it quite intresting as there was a little animal called a psammead that could grant 1 wish per day. I would 100% reccomend it to someone else.
My favourite characeter was Maudie as she was cute and funny and could always bribe the parents into letting them go to the woods. It was great fun but youre gonna have to read the book to find out what it is.
I thought this book was imaginative and peculiar because I never knew the Psammead could grant wishes until the sunset rises. I was quite startled when Smash decided to make a wish that she wanted to fly because they were flying steadily and Smash was caught and Robbie saved her by kicking the man on the legs. When it was their last day on Oxshott woods I was puzzled when Rosalind wrote R.I.P on the Psammead's pit because they were leaving. I really liked Rosalind because she always gave her siblings the chance to wish to the Psammead. I would recommend this book to someone else because it really brings them to the fact that if the Psammead existed then what would you wish for?
I loved the film watching it with my family and the book was just as good! Great read
I thought it was amazing and my favroute character was probably Smash because i found her funny. It was a great book and i think it`s one of the best Jaquline wilson books yet.
I loved this book !!
My favourite character would have to be Rosalind because she loves reading and so do I. Also I like the wish she made.
I would recommend this to anyone who loves a heart warming book and for anyone child or adult.
I also like how in the book there is much more information than the movie.
Definitely one of my favourites!!!!!
It’s a HAVE TO READ BOOK!!!!!!
As a child I loved Five Children and It and I enjoyed this tribute to it just as much.
I love this book. It is an equivalent to Five children and It by E. Nesbit. It s about 4 children, Rosalind, Smash, Robbie and Maudie. One day, when they go to Oxshott woods all together, they find a furry creature in the sand called a Psammead. He is in Rosalind's favourite book, Five children and It. The Psammead grants wishes. My favourite character is Rosalind. I recommend it.
Enjoyed this book - sad in places, funny and imaginative.
This was a good read. I enjoyed reading it with my mummy as we watched the tv programme of it recently.

It is a fantasy book about a sand fairy and my favourite character is Rosiland. I would highly recommend it.
Great adventure, fantasy, filled with humor book. This is probably on of my favourite Jacqueline Wilson books! My favourite wish was the one where this all get famous and have pets, fancy clothes, and there own concert, TV show, or book signing!
I think my favourite character has to be Maudie!
My favourite person was Rosalind. It was a good book.I would recommend it.
A really nice play on the original: "Five Children and It". I liked the similarities that they managed to keep even with different characters. I would recommend it to children in KS2, especially if you've read the original.
The book ,Four children and it, is about 4 children, Rosalind (who is the oldest) Robbie (who is Rosalind's younger brother), Smash (who is their stepsister), and Maudie (who is their half sister). One day, they all go on a picnic, and the children find a sandpit, and start playing in it. Suddenly, they see something, and then they start digging, until they see the Psammead. The Psammeasd was a magical creature who could grant wishes, but the wishes would only ever last for one day. So, everyday the children would go back to the sandpit to find the Psammead, and ask for a different wish. One day it was flying, another day it was to be famous, and one day it was to have Robbie's toys come to life! Until, Rosalind, and Robbie had to go home...
I really liked this book because it had adventures in it, and I think it is also exciting because you never know what they are going to wish for next. My favourite character is Rosalind because she is quite sensible and very kind/ polite to everyone, even to the Psammead. I would recommend it to someone else because it very exciting and it is full of mysteries and adventures.
I think it was good because I liked all the adventures in it
i liked how it always went wrong
so funny so good
I love this book! My favourite character is Rosalind. I like her because she loves reading like me. My favourite part of the book is probably when they fly or when Rosalind gets stuck in the past or when they are all famous. I don't know I love all the wishes. I watched the film first which I enjoyed but when I read the book I realised that the film was very different. I definitely prefer the book.
It was literally amazing! I have never in my life read a book so adventurous or magical before. It was great!
