Summer has always dreamed of dancing, and when a place at ballet school comes up, she wants it so badly it hurts. Middle school ends and the holidays begin, but unlike her sisters, Summer has no time for lazy days and sunny beach parties. The audition becomes her obsession, and things start spiralling out of control.

I felt so sad reading this, but also so joyful when you found out that summer was okay
In this book, Coco was my favourite and I would definitely recommend it.
It was hooking and had a great spry line a gave of an important message. I was a fictional book an I would definitely recommend it.
It was a good book
I thought that it was a great example for girls that have a dream of ballet.
This is a fiction book. I enjoyed this book it’s about a girl who enjoys dancing and works hard to do it.
I thought of this book that it was like a role model that sometimes we have to sacrifice things to achieve our goals and dreams.
I loved this fiction book, Summer's Dream which is all about a teenage girl who has a passion for ballet but can't handle the stress.
I would recommend this book for 10+ girls.
It’s a really good book, and it is written by a really good author.
I love how Summer realizes she doesn’t need to be perfect
This was a super book. It made me feel tense, happy, sad, scared so many feelings. You really step into the character's shoes and feel for them. Cathy Cassidy is an amazing writer- this is such a beautiful book!!! I would recommend for readers age 10/11+
this book was amazing! i liked how it showcased an ED from the victims perspective and it showed how much words hurt. i loved how alfie always stuck by summer even when she was being stubborn.
This book is about a girl called summer and her very strong passion for ballet.
I love this book because it shows serious subjects in an exhilarating and interesting way. The main character is Summer but Alfie is my favourite as he showed compassion, understanding and love towards Summer when she felt more alone than ever. I recommend it to ages 10+.
interesting
I thought this book was very good, I rate it 4/5. Some children may feel a bit upset because of what happened but it all works out in the end. My favourite person was Alfie because nobody noticed him but he was still determined and kind towards Summer! My favourite part was when Alfie finally made Summer notice him! I would recommend!
Awesome
This is amazing!! I loved all the passion for ballet!!
The book was non-fiction and my favourite character from the book was Summer. It was not factual. It also interested me because of the vocabulary. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes adventurous and bright books.
I liked this book because there are loads of good characters and links to Cathy’s other books
I loved this book
I liked the rollercoaster story that was a bit tense sometimes but ended happy.
It was an amszing book and it really showed the struggle of anorexia as i think it would be.
Summer wants to be a professional ballerina. Can she achieve her dream?
Summer is pretty and strong but behind the mask is a small girl truing to reach the dream that has sort of gone. I feel sorry for Summer at some points and it is very sad that she becomes anorexic.
This was about an eating disorder and pushing yourself too hard.
I learnt that you can have dreams but don't go crazy.
This is about a girl following their dream. Unfortunately, she is to passionate about it. Pople age 11-15 will love this book.
