Town Hall Chatterbooks

20 children registered but usually 10 to 15 actually turn up once a month. Ages from 7 to 17 (an older sister just can't give it up!) The children love their club. We have four who have recently moved on to secondary school and have started to introduce their friends, so we are hoping to start a Chatterbooks Extreme. We have lots of fun sharing the latest reads, the series and authors they are passionate about:- Jacqueline Wilson, Beast Quest, Vampirates, Horrid Henry. One of our 12 year old boys was crazy about the book Hetty Feather. We always play a game, like TABOO, and end up with a simple activity like making bookmarks or even biscuit decorating (that's when we looked at Food in Literature).
