Chatter Books Kingswood Library

We start sessions with a discussion of books we are reading at the moment - characters we like, favourite passages, the worst villains, the best illustrators, etc. This is followed by a creative activity, such as designing an imaginary book cover, writing the blurb for a book you like, or creating a comic strip out of an existing story. Towards the end of each session we have the weekly reading (at the moment, this is The Witches by Roald Dahl), which is followed up by a quick quiz relating to the passage. Anyone between the ages of 8 and 12 can join, all you have to do is turn up - the more the merrier!
