Thursday Reading Group

Meets at Clay Cross Library on

Run by James Ward Library service

We meet monthly in Clay Cross Library to discuss and chat informally about a book selected from the bookchat list provided by by the Derbyshire Library Service. The library is also able to provide other books not on the list provided that enough copies of the same book can be borrowed from other libraries. Each member of the group selects a book that they would like us to read and discuss together. We have a wide variety of tastes in reading, ranging from serious fiction, biography and poetry to humour, romance, mystery and detective novels. The member selecting the book is encouraged to introduce it to the other members and discover their opinions and ideas about it. The library service also sometimes organises events which we are invited to join. We are a friendly informal group and welcome anyone interested in reading. If you are interested in joining us or need more information contact me or any of the librarians at Clay Cross Library.

We meet at: Kenning Park, Holmegate Road, Chesterfield, Derbyshire
