National Poetry Library Book Club

We have been running for over 7 years and meet quarterly on a Monday evening (18.30-20.30) to discuss a book of poetry. Books read include 'Love Poems' by Carol Ann Duffy, Nobel Prize winner Tomas Tranströmer, 'Citizen' by Claudia Rankine and the anthologies 'Dark Matter : Poems of Space' and 'London : a History in Verse'. The discussion is led by National Poetry Library staff and usually includes close reading of 5 poems from the book. Anyone is welcome to come along (free tickets are available from the Southbank Centre ticket office and on the website www.southbankcentre.co.uk).
