Meets at Crane Moor Methodist Chapel on

Run by Ann Hamblen Library service

We meet once a month in our village Methodist Chapel community space. Barnsley Library Services provide us with our monthly read. We enjoy a wide variety of books, both fiction and non-fiction. At the time of writing, we are reading Jeanette Winterson's Lighthousekeeping, to be followed by Elizabeth Gaskell's North and South, and Nella Last's wartime memoirs for the Mass Observation Unit. There are 8/9 of us at most meetings; we advertise for new members on the parish website. All are welcome. In March, 2011, we held a very successful community event on World Book Day, when we gave out copies of Carol Ann Duffy's The World's Wife to our neighbours and friends from the surrounding villages.

We meet at: Crane Moor Road, Crane Moor, Barnsley, South yorkshire, S35 7AT
