Run by Kim Miller Library service

Cosy mysteries are a gentle genre of murder mysteries with no graphic violence, often based in a quaint setting. The sleuths in these novels are always amateur detectives, with occupations such as herbalist, florist, quilter, baker, librarian, pet sitter, book store owner or wedding planner. Some of the books even include cupcake recipes or quilting patterns! You may have read a cosy mystery before and not realised it. The Agatha Raisin books by M C Beaton are a popular cosy mystery series. There are cosy mysteries with all sorts of themes: decoupage, cross stitch, knitting, bird watching, scrapbooking, sudoku and interior design. Whatever your interests you are bound to find one that interests you! If you’d like to join a book group that chats about cosy mysteries, please contact us.
