TeaBooks
adults
Oxfordshire charity Bookfeast has set up reading groups all around the county. The groups are called TeaBooks and are for the over 60s – friendly day time groups for people who enjoy reading or think they might enjoy reading!
The groups are running in resource centres, day centres and community settings and are open to all. The group choose a book they want to read and then the volunteer group leader will provide the books, from the library, in the format you require (ordinary print, large print, audio versions) The groups meet every three weeks and the leader supports a relaxed discussion about the book, perhaps over a nice cup of tea! It’s all very relaxed and informal and an enjoyable way to spend an hour among new friends. The cost is just 50p per session.
If you are interested and would like to join us then do please speak to Helen Grimwade or Angie Prysor-Jones on 01865 514149 to find out where your nearest TeaBooks is being held.
Do come and see if you like it - See you there!
