Cornerstone Reading Group.

We are a small group of 8 members we meet monthly and take it in turns to choose a book. We meet on Tuesdays at 8pm. at the Cornerstone Centre Severn Road Cheltenham GL52 5QA.We read a diverse range of books and mostly take these from Cheltenham Library Lists. Most meetings are spent giving each other feedback about the recent book we have read and then having a look at the new book of the month. We have a chat as well as coffee and biscuits.We may also at times talk /introduce a recent book that may have been published. We may also contrast films we have seen that have been made about a book we have read. Alison Gardiner has taken on ordering and obtaining and returning the books and she started the group. New members can come through existing members or can phone Alison Gardiner on 01242 300643 and leave a message if she is not available. I would describe us as a mixed age group who come along and take the books seriously but also we have a laugh. We have not so far taken part in book events we may in future,most are busy and fitting in more with work and family may be difficult. Most of us go to the Literature Festival and other events individually and then these will be enthusiastically talked about by us all. For further information please contact Alison Gardiner.
