Ebenezer Scrooge hates Christmas. He is angry that people are not working. Then, he meets the ghost of his old partner, Jacob Marley. Can Scrooge be a good person before it is too late?
A Christmas Carol, a Level 1 Reader, is A1 in the CEFR framework. Short sentences contain a maximum of two clauses, introducing the past simple tense and some simple modals, adverbs and gerunds. Illustrations support the text throughout, and many titles at this level are graphic novels.

An Absolute classic. Loved the way the ghosts made Scrooge see the errors of his ways and he suddenly embraces Christmas spirit. This book is very well structured. I like the way they introduce the characters at the start of the book so that the reader is aware. I do like the comic book style. Its a great way to learn how to read. I do like the exercises within the book which helps to challenge the reader. I liked the final project at the end of the book
A challenging GCSE text with themes that are still relevent today.
It was good. My favourite character was tiny Tim because he got better in the end. Scrooge was nasty but he ended up being good. I would recommend this book to my friends.
This is a fictional book by Charles Dickens about a character called Scrooge. He is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. This book was recommended in school and I have recently finished reading the book after starting to read and analyse the book since half term.
It is a bit scary with the ghosts
Scrooge learns a lesson to be kind. My favourite character is Jacob Marley because he's the first ghost.
It was brilliant. I have also watched a movie about it. It was fiction based story
My favourite characters are the Three Spirits,Scrooge and Fred.
Charles Dickens is an amazing author and his books still are awesome to this day! One of these has to be "A Christmas Carol." There have been more than a single movie dedicated to this fantastic book, the recent one being was called "Scrooge" and is available on Netflix. I, however, give this book a four-star rating because Scrooge behaves like a selfish git for most of the book!
I think it was amassing book.
